Fastest Way To Lose Belly Fat
What is the absolute fastest way to lose belly fat? To be honest, I’ve seen it all. The pills, the creams, the abs machines. While our logic reasoning tells us how absurd some of the “methods” are, we still let our emotions get the better of us. The lure of a quick and easy method that requires no will power is just to great and we often end up buying into some of these ridiculous solutions that promise a miraculous way to lose belly fat.
The truth is that losing belly fat takes no fancy gadgets. There is an old saying that says “its easy when you do things the hard way and hard when you do it the easy way”. This is very relevant here. When you look for the easy way, then your attempts to get a flat belly will be hard. If you go for the “hard way” and you do what’s necessary, even though it may seem like hard work, then the process actually becomes very easy. Jumping from one gadget to the next is not just a waste of time and money but it breaks your spirit.
The principle behind losing belly fat is quite simple. You need to lose body fat and the only way to do this is to burn more calories than you consume. There are two ways to do this. The first is to consume less calories. The second is to burn more calories. By combining these two approaches you will have the fastest way to lose belly fat. Lets quickly look at both of these.
1. Consuming less calories:
Okay, so this may sound like yet another sermon on calorie control and I know that we are all sick of it by now but it is important. The amount of calories you consume is all out important in how much excess fat builds up in your body. You need to limit this as much as possible.
I’ve never been a proponent of calorie counting and I am not suggesting that you start doing it. All I am suggesting is that you eliminate excessive calorie intakes. The best way to do this is to eat more. Yes! Eat at least 5 small meals a day. By doing this you will reduce overeating and you will also avoid snacking on high calorie foods.
Try and identify certain meals that you eat regularly that you know is too high in calories and then come up with alternatives.
2. Burning more calories:
While limiting your calorie intake is very important, nothing is as powerful in losing belly fat as that of exercising regularly. By burning more calories you will start to burn fat and if you combine this with limiting your calorie intake the results will start to accumulate. There are two types of exercise that can maximize the speed at which you burn fat.
The first is cardiovascular exercise. You need to exercise for at least 40 minutes at 60% of your maximum heart rate. This is the optimal fat burning zone – and its really quite a gentle pace. Most modern gym equipment have heart rate monitors that will allow you to see your heart rate. You can however invest in one that you wear and its an excellent gadget to have as your training companion. Your maximum heart rate is calculated by subtracting your age from 220. Work out 60% of that and you have your ideal fat burning heart rate. Its important that you do a decent cardio routine at least 5 days a week. It will be quite slow at first but as you gain fitness the fat will start dropping off.
The second type of exercise is also very powerful in helping you burn fat. This is strength training. With strength training you build muscle and when you build muscle you increase the calorie demand of your entire body. The result is that you burn more fat even when you are not working out.
Losing belly fat is NOT about doing abdominal exercises. Sit-ups and crunches are great to firm and tone your abs but when it comes to losing belly fat you simply have to focus on fat loss.
The fastest way to lose belly fat is by being mindful of your calorie intake, doing cardio training religiously and focusing on strength training 3 or 4 times a week. The combination of these three components will work together and the synergy will help you lose stomach fat faster than any pill, cream or gadget will ever do.
